Jump Scare Reviewed in Simon Says

Jill Mandrake reviewed Jump Scare, the new poetry collection by Daniel Zomparelli for Simon Says, Simon Fraser University’s newsletter.

Of Zomparelli’s book, Mandrake says ‘Jump Scare offers both solace and humour when life’s curveballs become a bit too creepy. For example, if you’re in a deflated mood by the end of the day (“you’re looking fit / you’re looking fun / your credit card has expired!”), Zomparelli can jolt you out of it: “the economy has collapsed! oh please, the economy, we love you, / get up!”’
