Talonbooks Fall 2026 Catalogue

The Talonbooks fall 2026 catalogue includes works of fiction, nonfiction, translation, poetry, and drama. Coming this autumn, Sailors Can’t Swim by Dominique Scali, the winner of the 2023 Prix des libraires du Québec, the 2023 Prix Jacques-Brossard de la science-fiction et du fantastique, and the 2023 French Prix Imaginales will soon be translated by Jessica Moore and made available to English-language readers.

A new work of nonfiction by Colin Browne will cast new light on the journey of surrealist artist Paalen, the poet Rahon, and their companion Eva Sulzer down the Northwest Coast.

In poetry, there will be new work from Weyman Chan, Chris Turnbull, Rob Budde, and Hope Anderson.

In drama, we see the return of Michel Tremblay (translated by Linda Gaboriau), Jovanni Sy, Drew Hayden Taylor, and Frances Koncan.
