Frances Koncan is an Anishinaabe/Slovenian playwright from Couchiching First Nation. She is a graduate of the University of Manitoba and the City University of New York Brooklyn College. Originally from Winnipeg, Manitoba, they currently reside in Vancouver, British Columbia, where she is an assistant professor at the University of British Columbia.
