Chris Craddock is an Edmonton-based actor, producer, and writer whose dynamic career spans theatre, film, and television. They have been recognized with five Sterling Awards for excellence in Alberta theatre, including Outstanding Independent Production for BASH'd: A Gay Rap Opera, which they co-wrote with Nathan Cuckow. The production also earned a 2007 GLAAD Media Award for Outstanding New York Theater: Off-Off Broadway.
Craddock's film work includes Turnbuckle, nominated for two Alberta Film and Television Awards (AMPIA Awards), and It's Not My Fault and I Don't Care Anyway (2017), a feature film they wrote and directed, based on his play Public Speaking. In television, they co-created and starred in the comedy series Tiny Plastic Men (2012–2015), which received multiple nominations, including a Rosie Award for Best Performance by an Alberta Actor. Craddock is the recipient of the Enbridge Emerging Artist Award, the Centennial Medal for his contribution to the arts in Alberta, and the Alberta Book Award for his collection of plays for teens, Naked at School.
A graduate of the University of Alberta’s BFA Acting Program in 1996, Craddock has performed on stages across Canada and served as the artistic director of Rapid Fire Theatre from 2004 to 2008.
