We are delighted to announce that 2007 Juno and 2009 Jessie Richardson Award Nominee Jason Burnstick has been nominated for three 2010 Aboriginal People’s Choice Awards, including Best Album Cover Design and Best Instrumental CD for Where the Blood Mixes.
Burnstick is a musician and composer with a veritable arsenal of weissenborns and lap slide guitars, and displays a versatile freedom in his music that combines blues and folk with Latin influence.
The unobtrusive accompaniment of Jason Burnstick’s guitar and weissenborn lap slide playing and singing grace Kevin Loring‘s Where the Blood Mixes, which won the 2009 Governor General’s Literary Award for Drama and the 2009 Jessie Richardson Award for Outstanding Original Script.
