Over six decades ago, Canadian women were waiting for their men to come home from war. They volunteered for the Red Cross, they started working in factories, they waited patiently for letters from Europe and they held tight to the hope that one day their men would come home.
John Murrell‘s beautiful play, Waiting for the Parade looks at war through they eyes of five very different Canadian women.
Infused with the music of the era this wonderful play is at times heartbreaking hilarious and haunting. Waiting for the Parade runs from April 28 to May 7 at Coast Capital Playhouse in White Rock, BC.
