Two Talonbooks Poets Selected for 2023/2024 Poetry in Transit Program!
We are delighted to announce that there are two Talonbooks authors on this year’s Poetry in Transit lineup! A poem from Tracery by Edward Byrne and a poem from Refabulations: Selected Longer Poems by Sharon Thesen and edited by Erín Moure will be coming soon to your commute.
Now in its 27th year, Poetry in Transit is an annual program that features the work of 10 BC poets on transit cars and shelters throughout the province. This collaboration between Books BC, TransLink, and BC Transit is a wonderful opportunity to showcase BC’s outstanding pool of poetic powerhouses. This year, poems on bus cards will appear alongside the work of local photographers sourced through an Instagram photo competition led by TransLink and paired with the chosen poems by a jury.
