Mining, Justice and Censorship at the University of Victoria!

On February 26, 2013 at the University of Victoria, Alain Deneault, author of Imperial Canada Inc. – Legal haven of choice for the world’s mining industries, will be the keynote speaker for a discussion about the global consequences of Canada’s complicit relationship with resource extraction industries and the use of legal and political pressure to censor its critics.

Chandu Claver (Human rights activist), Kevin Williams (Publisher, Talonbooks), and Rob Wipond (Investigative journalist) will also participate in the event. The evening is sure to raise new questions for us on Canada’s role in the mining industry, both domestically and globally.

Deneault will be giving two talks, one at 2:30pm and one in the evening at 7pm.
