Vancouver director Matthew Kowalchuk starts filming an adaptation of playwright Morris Panych’s stage thriller Lawrence & Holloman this month.
Kowalchuk and actor Daniel Arnold wrote the screenplay adaptation, adding more characters and locations to Panych’s two-hander play. Arnold stars in the movie alongside busy Vancouver actor Ben Cotton. The two play a hapless nerd and a fast-talking salesman who meet by chance and become entangled in various shootings, drownings, and dismemberings. Also starring are Katharine Isabelle and Amy Matysio.
