Give another cheer for Indigiqueer!

We heartily congratulate Joshua Whitehead, whose collection of poetry, full-metal indigiqueer, has just been short-listed for the 2018 Stephan G. Stephansson Award for Poetry in the Alberta Literary Awards!

Whitehead is in fine company with Benjamin Hertwig, author of Slow War (McGill-Queen’s University Press) and Lisa Martin, author of Believing is not the same as Being Saved (University of Alberta Press). See the complete Alberta Literary Awards shortlist here.

Shortlist reading events will be held in Edmonton and Calgary in May, and winners will be announced at the Alberta Literary Awards Gala on June 2 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in downtown Calgary.

Let’s all keep our fingers crossed for full-metal indigiqueer!
