Breaking Down Decompositions

Ken Belford’s new book Decompositions is drawing a fair amount of attention from readers and has stirred up growing interest in his surroundings. His book is a veritable seed bank of thoughts and emotions set in the Canadian North, a long poem that reports the most subtle ruptures and disturbances to our shared land. This work shares a perspective rooted in rural community, even as these poems turn in the earth and resist infringement from the global new order.
