Tonight, BC Book Prize nominees George Bowering, Julie Flett, and Derek Lundy will kick off their Okanagan Leg 2011 book tour in British Columbia, which goes from April 15 through April 20.
Starting in Kamloops, and visiting Salmon Arm, Kelowna, Vernon, Penticton, and Oliver, each free public event is an excellent opportunity to meet the authors and to have your books signed.

George Bowering is nominated for the Dorothy Livesay Poetry Prize for My Darling Nellie Grey. Only yesterday, Bowering was named winner of the Lieutenant Governor’s Award for Literary Excellence.
Julie Flett is nominated for the Christie Harris Illustrated Children’s Literature Award for Owls See Clearly at Night: A Michif Alphabet (Lii Yiiboo Nayaapiwak Lii Swer: L’alfabet di Michif).
Derek Lundy is nominated for the Hubert Evans Non-Fiction Prize for Borderlands: Riding the Edge of America.
