Ian Angus was born in England in 1949 and emigrated to Canada in 1958. He has a Ph.D. from the Graduate Program in Social and Political Thought at York University, has taught at several universities in Canada and the U.S.A., and is currently a professor of Humanities at Simon Fraser University.
His recent books include figurations (Verso, 2000), Primal Scenes of Communication (SUNY Press, 2000), A Border Within (McGill-Queens University Press, 1997), and Anarcho-Modernism.
