Drunken God Visits Orangeville

In a World Created by a Drunken God

In A World Created By A Drunken God, written by 2010 Governor General Award for Literature nominee Drew Hayden Taylor, is a superb play, full of heart and humour that not only examines the shocking world of deep, dark family secrets but reflects the distinct and very real moral divide between two cultures and two nations. Whether the characters are white or First Nations, rich or poor, sick or healthy, Canadian or American, they ask us to share a spell-binding evening in the theatre with them.

Theatre Orangeville is staging a production of Drew Hayden Taylor’s play from February 17 to March 6th, 2011.

The performance will also star Trevor Duplessis, a Metis actor from Regina who co-stars in this production and also starred in the film adaptation, which was nominated for a Gemini Award for Best TV Movie. Duplessis also won the 2008 American Indian Film Institute Best Actor Award for his role of Jason Pierce in that film.
